Adjusting ICMS Intrastate Tax Rates for SPED Reports
Adjust ICMS intrastate tax rates for SPED reports to comply with Brazilian tax requirements and ensure accurate EFD ICMS IPI filings.
To ensure compliance with Brazilian tax authorities, it's essential to configure the ICMS and FCP tax rates for local transactions. This guide outlines the process for adjusting the ICMS intrastate tax rates for SPED reports.
Understanding ICMS and FCP Tax Rates
The ICMS (Imposto sobre Circulação de Mercadorias e Serviços) tax is applicable to transactions within states in Brazil, while the FCP (Fundo de Combate à Pobreza) is an additional tax that may vary by state and is often not applicable. When preparing your EFD ICMS IPI files, these rates must be accurate, as tax authorities require them to be included in your filings.
Important Note: The tax rates entered for ICMS intrastate tax purposes do not influence the tax calculations for any transactions. Their sole purpose is to be recorded in the EFD ICMS IPI files.

Setup > Brazil Reports > ICMS Intrastate Tax Rate for SPED. - Find the state for which you wish to modify the ICMS or FCP rates and click Edit next to it.
