Starting in NetSuite 2026.2, the Intelligent Close Manager includes enhancements designed to streamline and improve review of your close process. You can create user-defined tasks tailored to your business needs, allowing you to manage activities that aren't accounted for by system-generated tasks, such as checklist items, reviews, and operational reminders. These custom tasks are displayed on the Custom tab within the Intelligent Close Manager portlet and can be assigned to team members for better tracking.

For custom tasks, you can set start and due dates, track status, mark tasks complete, and, when needed, send email notifications to assignees. In OneWorld accounts, tasks can also be assigned to a subsidiary and accounting period.

Furthermore, the portlet now allows you to generate narrative insights that summarize your closing progress, helping identify tasks and areas that require immediate attention.

A notable feature added is the Run Intercompany Eliminations task, located under the Accounting tab, which facilitates intercompany eliminations during the close process.

IFRS 18 Income Statement Layout

With this release, users can now utilize the IFRS 18 Standard Income Statement Layout to correctly organize their financial data according to the latest international reporting standards. This layout replaces the previous IAS 1 requirements for income statement preparation and will apply to annual reporting periods that begin on or after January 1, 2027.

The IFRS 18 layout categorizes income statement information into:

• Operating
• Investing
• Financing
• Income taxes
• Discontinued operations

This layout can be customized in the Financial Report Builder, enabling users to apply filters such as Account Name to each section, ensuring your reporting is both accurate and compliant. It is supported for income statement reports, including the Income Statement and Comparative Income Statement reports.

SuiteTax Hub Centralizes SuiteTax Resources

The newly introduced SuiteTax Hub serves as a centralized resource for accessing SuiteTax functionalities. This hub aids users in understanding required updates and facilitates the migration process.
