NetSuite 2026.2 Generative AI Availability Checklist

NetSuite 2026.2 generative AI availability is feature-specific. A supported region does not establish that every account or user can access every AI capability. Administrators must also check language support, account settings, role permissions, rollout eligibility, and healthcare Business Associate Agreement (BAA) restrictions.

Use this checklist to identify the documented eligibility boundary before changing settings or permissions.

Start with the requested feature rather than a general assumption that the account is “AI-enabled.” Availability depends partly on the regional setup of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Generative AI services, but the geographic and account restrictions differ by feature.

For the four SuiteCloud tools, use the updated regional statement. The September 21, 2026 update identifies Text Enhance, Text Enhance Translations, Prompt Studio, and the SuiteScript N/llm module as available in all supported NetSuite regions. Configuration and permission requirements still apply.

The source's General SuiteCloud Features table also lists Australia, Brazil, Canada, the European Union, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates for accounts hosted in Amsterdam and Frankfurt data centers, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Keep that table listing distinct from the broader update; do not use it to narrow the update's all-supported-regions statement for the four named tools.

For other features, check the following boundaries:

Intelligent Bill Capture: United States availability, English, and a limited rollout to select accounts in US data centers. Being in the United States alone does not establish account eligibility.
Enriched Bank Data, NetSuite Expert, Narrative Insights, and Task Prioritization in the Intelligent Close Manager: the regional baseline is “Everywhere.” Continue to the language, configuration, and compliance checks below.
NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant: available in multiple regions, currently only for sandbox and preview accounts, with specific SuiteApp installation required. “Multiple regions” does not establish universal availability or production-account eligibility.

2. Verify language support

Check the affected user's feature and language rather than the language used by the administrator investigating the issue. The source distinguishes English-only capabilities from those supporting all system-supported NetSuite languages.

Text Enhance requires an additional configuration check: its choices can vary with the language in user preferences, and an Administrator can change its available languages.

For example, if one user sees fewer Text Enhance choices than a colleague, compare their language preferences and available-language configuration before treating the difference as a permission failure. Setup Prompts is the documented Prompt Studio permission; it is not a substitute for checking Text Enhance's language-dependent behavior.

Do not infer Intelligent Bill Capture or NetSuite Expert language support from the multilingual coverage of the SuiteCloud tools.

3. Verify account settings and activation conditions

Enabled-by-default does not mean currently enabled. Enriched Bank Data, Text Enhance, and Text Enhance Translations can be disabled, so check their current state.

Enriched Bank Data

Check the Accounting subtab of the Enable Features page, where Enriched Bank Data can be enabled or disabled. Its scope is imported bank transactions used for matching and reconciliation—not other financial data.

Enriched matching processes up to 10,000 transactions per reconciliation rule run. Re-run rules to continue matching when that limit is exceeded. Treat this as a processing limit, not evidence that the feature is unavailable.

The feature helps resolve ambiguity among potential bank-transaction matches. It does not replace review before finalizing reconciliation.

Text Enhance and Text Enhance Translations

Both are enabled by default but can be disabled by an Administrator. Text Enhance must be enabled to use Text Enhance Translations. Check that dependency as well as the translation setting.

For missing language choices, also review user-preference language and the available languages configured by an Administrator.

NetSuite Expert

Enter three words or more in SuiteAnswers to meet the documented activation condition. Standard SuiteAnswers search remains available; a shorter query is not an appropriate test of NetSuite Expert availability.

Narrative Insights and SuiteApp-based features

Narrative Insights is available in accounts upgraded to 2026.1. Retain that documented prerequisite in a 2026.2 investigation, alongside the separate BAA check.

Audit Summarization using Generative AI is integrated into specific SuiteApps. NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant requires specific SuiteApp installation and is currently limited to sandbox and preview accounts. Check the relevant installation and account context rather than assuming general AI availability covers either capability.

The AI Preferences enhancements overview provides related configuration context. For this checklist, record each feature's actual state and dependencies rather than simply noting that AI preferences were reviewed.

4. Separate permissions from SuiteCloud prerequisites

Account eligibility and user access are different tests. Use the documented requirement for each capability rather than assuming every AI feature requires an Administrator role.

For Enriched Bank Data, verify access to the named activities without inventing a permission label. An enabled account setting does not establish that the affected user has the required permissions.

For a developer investigating N/llm access, check Server SuiteScript separately from Prompt Studio permissions. Conversely, enabling Server SuiteScript is not the documented remedy for a role lacking Prompt Studio access.

5. Apply signed-BAA restrictions precisely

Two restrictions apply to healthcare customers with a signed Business Associate Agreement:

Narrative Insights cannot be activated because it has not yet been assessed for HIPAA compliance.
The AI Prioritized button in the Intelligent Close Manager is unavailable because that functionality has not yet been assessed for HIPAA compliance.

Check signed-BAA status as a separate eligibility gate. Regional coverage, language support, account upgrades, or broader role access do not remove these documented restrictions.

Keep the explanation specific. The Intelligent Close Manager restriction concerns AI Prioritized; it does not establish that every Intelligent Close Manager capability is unavailable. Likewise, “not yet assessed for HIPAA compliance” should not be rewritten as a completed compliance assessment or extrapolated to every AI feature.

For the compliance handoff, record the requested capability, signed-BAA status, and stated restriction. Repeated permission changes would not address that eligibility boundary.

Final feature-by-feature eligibility checklist

Use this table as the working record after the checks above. Recording the account, affected role, user language, and result of each applicable check is a troubleshooting method—not an additional NetSuite requirement.

Assign follow-up work to the boundary you identify: administrators review settings and permissions, developers check the documented SuiteCloud prerequisite, and compliance officers review the named BAA restrictions. For limited-rollout features, distinguish account eligibility from settings the administrator can change.

Finally, verify AI-assisted results before business decisions. Access establishes eligibility to use a capability, not the accuracy of its output. Accountants should review proposed bank matches before finalizing reconciliation.
