Checkout Steps Configuration in SuiteCommerce
Configure checkout steps in SuiteCommerce to control the user checkout experience with different flow options.
The Checkout Steps setting in SuiteCommerce allows you to manage the flow of the checkout process for your users. This configuration is essential because it determines how shoppers progress through the checkout, directly impacting user experience and conversion rates.
What Are the Checkout Flows?
SuiteCommerce offers three distinct checkout flows, each designed to guide users through the purchasing process in a different order:
-
Standard Checkout (default):
- Shipping Address page - enter shipping address and delivery method
- Payment page - enter payment method and billing address
- Review page - review checkout information and cart contents before submitting the order
-
One Page Checkout:
- Checkout Information page - enter shipping address, delivery method, payment method, and billing address
- Review page - review checkout information and cart contents before submission
-
Billing First Checkout:
- Billing Address page - enter billing address
- Shipping Address page - enter shipping address and delivery method
- Payment page - enter payment method and review billing address
- Review page - review checkout information and cart contents before submission
Note: If the Multiple Ship To feature is enabled, users will choose an address and delivery method for each shipment before proceeding to payment methods. For more on this feature, refer to the Multiple Ship To documentation.

To set up your desired checkout flow, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Commerce > Websites > Configuration.
