How to Configure Taxes?
Follow these steps to configure taxes in NetSuite:
- Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Set Up Taxes.
- (Optional) If you manage multiple countries, select the United States subtab.
- Enable the following options:
- Enable Tax Lookup on Sales Transactions
- Customers Default to Taxable
Note: Ensure that existing customers are set to taxable by reviewing the Tax Setting for Customers. - Respect Discount Item Tax Preference.
- Confirm that Charge Sales Tax on Store Orders is set to Always.
