Understanding SCA Implementations

Your File Cabinet in NetSuite contains important SCA implementations:

• Source: This includes original installation files. It’s locked for modifications but contains a zipped source file in the _Sources directory. Download this zipped file to start working on customizations and create distribution files. You can also use this Source implementation for future comparisons against your customizations.
• Development: This is where you deploy and manage your customizations. The installation of the SCA SuiteApp will deploy necessary default touchpoints here automatically.

Important Note: Starting from the Aconcagua release, SCA no longer includes HTML and Sass files. For these versions, theme developer tools must be used to customize your site’s appearance. Refer to the theme development guides for further details.

Steps to Download SCA Source Files

Follow these steps to get the SCA source files for release 2018.2 and earlier:

1. Log into your NetSuite account where SCA is installed.
2. Navigate to the File Cabinet at Documents > Files > File Cabinet.
3. Within the File Cabinet, go to Web Site Hosting Files > Live Hosting Files > SSP Applications > [SSP Application] > Source > _Sources.
   The SSP Application for SCA will be named: NetSuite Inc. - SCA <release_name>.
4. Click on the relevant .zip file to initiate the download.
5. Extract the downloaded .zip file to your preferred directory for source file storage. You can rename the top-level directory but must maintain the structure of subfolders and files within.
6. Install any additional files needed to finalize your development environment setup as outlined in the documentation for installing additional files.
