The following procedure describes how to effectively map the buyer ID from eBay order data to the customer record in NetSuite. This mapping is crucial for aligning eBay transactions with customer profiles, ensuring that the right data is captured for new orders.
How to Map eBay Buyer IDs to Customer Records

Identify the NetSuite Field: Determine which field on the customer record you want to post the Buyer ID to. If a custom field is needed, refer to the instructions on creating custom entity fields.

Access eBay Mappings in NetSuite Connector: In NetSuite Connector, navigate to the eBay mappings page by selecting eBay connector > Mappings > Orders and open the Customer tab.

Add Mapping: On the Customer Mappings page, click the Add Mapping button.

Select NetSuite Field: In the Add NetSuite Mapping window, choose the appropriate NetSuite field from the dropdown list to map the eBay Buyer ID. If using a custom field, select Custom Field.
- If Custom Field is chosen:
- Enter the Field ID for the custom field you created in NetSuite.
- Click Add Mapping.
- Then, click Close.
- If Custom Field is chosen:

Define Mapping Type: Select Order Header in the Mapping Type column dropdown. This will convert the eBay Field/Fixed Value column to a dropdown format.

Select Buyer ID: In the eBay Field/Fixed Value dropdown, choose Buyer ID.

Save Mapping: Click Save to finalize your mapping setup.
Note: The newly created mapping will apply to all new orders coming in from eBay but will not retroactively apply to orders that were already posted to NetSuite.
