Restrict Access to Pricing Information in NetSuite

Controlling access to pricing information is essential for eCommerce businesses to protect sensitive details from competitors and encourage user registration. In NetSuite, you can manage who sees pricing details on your website through two primary methods:

• Personalized Catalog Views (PCV): Allows you to tailor the product catalog for different customer segments. This feature lets you manage what users can do, whether it's viewing items, seeing prices, or making purchases. For example, VIP customers can have access to exclusive items while registered users might only view prices if they log in.

• Require Login for Pricing: This option restricts price visibility to registered users. Visitors can browse the site but must log in to view prices or make a purchase. When enabled, unregistered users will see a message prompting them to log in or register, which can help convert visitors into customers.

Note: If you restrict access to your entire site, this specific pricing feature won't apply.

Using Require Login for Pricing

1. Navigate to Commerce > Websites > Website List.
2. Click Edit next to the website where you need to restrict pricing information.
3. Proceed to the Shopping subtab.
4. Check the Require Login for Pricing option.

For Pre-Vinson Versions of SuiteCommerce Advanced

1. Create a custom module that includes the backend Configuration object as a dependency. Refer to the relevant documentation for more guidance.
2. Ensure you set the loginToSeePrices property to true in your custom module.
3. Save your changes and deploy them to your site.

Important Considerations

• Personalized Catalog Views cannot be enabled if your site is operating on a pre-2019.2 version of SuiteCommerce Advanced.
• Ensure compatibility with other features, as PCV may not work seamlessly with SuiteCommerce InStore or Intelligent Recommendations, potentially affecting visibility settings.
