Sponsoring NetSuite Changelog: Niche Marketing for the NetSuite Ecosystem
We built a sponsorship model that connects NetSuite companies with the exact audience they want to reach — category-targeted, fully transparent, and designed to keep NetSuite Changelog free and self-sustaining. Here's how it works.

NetSuite Changelog tracks every documentation change Oracle makes to NetSuite — new features, API updates, configuration changes, governance limits. Every week, we process what Oracle publishes, generate articles, and send a digest to our subscribers.
The site has been live for a month. Thousands of visits every week, and the numbers are growing. The weekly newsletter is going out. New content is published every time Oracle touches their Help Center.
To keep this free and self-sustaining — without paywalls, without selling data, without cluttering the experience — we designed a sponsorship model built specifically for the NetSuite ecosystem.
How Sponsorship Works
This isn't traditional advertising. It's niche marketing with precision targeting that generic ad platforms can't match.
NetSuite Changelog organizes every article by category: SuiteScript, Accounting, Commerce, Inventory Management, SuiteTalk Web Services, and dozens more. When a company sponsors NetSuite Changelog, they choose the categories that match their product or service. Their brand appears only on articles in those categories.
If you build a SuiteScript tool, your sponsorship card shows on SuiteScript articles — where developers are actively reading about SuiteScript APIs and best practices. If you offer an inventory management solution, your card shows on Inventory articles — where administrators are researching exactly that topic.
That's the core value: your brand reaches people who are already researching your space. Not a broad audience that might include NetSuite users. An active, intent-driven audience working in your exact category.
What Sponsors Get
Category-Targeted Placement
Choose the categories that matter to your business. Your sponsorship card appears on every article in those categories — a clean sidebar card with your logo, company name, tagline, and a "Learn More" link to your website.
One card per page. No pop-ups. No interstitials. No auto-playing video. No third-party ad scripts. Just a single, well-designed card that looks like it belongs there — because it does.
Email Newsletter Branding
Every Monday, we send a digest to all subscribers with the week's NetSuite documentation changes, organized by category. Sponsors who opt in get their company name and tagline displayed inline with their matching category headers — visible to every subscriber reading about that topic.
This is a flat monthly rate per category. When Oracle publishes updates in your sponsored categories, your brand appears in the newsletter. If your categories don't come up in a given week, the opportunity carries forward across your campaign duration.
Full Transparency Dashboard
Every sponsor gets access to an advertiser portal with complete visibility into their campaign performance:
- Impressions — Deduplicated per visitor per 24 hours. The same person seeing your card 10 times counts as one impression
- Clicks — Also deduplicated. One visitor, one click per 24 hours
- Click-through rate — Calculated from verified impressions and clicks
- Email impressions — How many newsletters included your brand
- Budget tracking — Exactly how much you've spent and what's remaining, with estimated days left
- Daily performance chart — 30-day chart of impressions and clicks
- Article-level attribution — Which specific articles drove your impressions and clicks, so you can see where your brand performs best
No black boxes. You log in, you see the numbers, you know exactly what your investment delivered.
Bot Filtering & Data Integrity
Sponsors pay based on impressions, so the numbers need to be accurate:
- Bot detection — Googlebot, Bingbot, and other crawlers are automatically identified and excluded. Bots never generate impressions, never generate clicks, and never consume budget
- Deduplication — Same visitor, same ad, 24-hour window = one impression. Same rule for clicks. No inflated numbers
- Privacy-first — We hash all visitor identifiers with SHA-256. We deduplicate without storing or knowing who the visitor is
Ad Preview
Before submitting an inquiry, sponsors can click "Preview Your Ad" to see exactly how their sponsorship card will look alongside a real article from their selected category. Company name, logo, tagline — rendered in the actual card format. No guesswork.
Pricing
Sponsorship pricing is based on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) model with real traffic data:
- $25 CPM — Reflects the quality of a niche, intent-driven audience. Every impression is a NetSuite professional actively researching platform documentation
- Duration discounts — 10% off for 3-month commitments, 20% off for 6 months
- Category multiplier — Each additional category applies a 1.5x multiplier, ensuring no single brand dominates all categories and keeping slots available for diverse sponsors
- Email newsletter ads — Flat monthly rate per category, separate from CPM
- Minimum budget — $50, making sponsorship accessible to companies of any size
The pricing calculator shows real monthly traffic per category, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you commit. Every pricing concept has a [?] tooltip explaining why it's structured that way.
How to Get Started
- Visit the pricing calculator — Select your target categories and see estimated impressions based on real traffic data
- Configure your campaign — Choose duration, decide whether to include email newsletter branding, preview your ad
- Submit for review — We manually review every sponsor for relevance to the NetSuite ecosystem. Usually 1-2 business days
- Pay via PayPal — After approval, you get access to your advertiser portal where you can pay and manage your campaign
- Monitor performance — Your dashboard shows daily stats, article attribution, and email metrics in real time
Why Now
NetSuite Changelog is in its early stages. Traffic is growing every week. The subscriber base is building. The content library expands every time Oracle publishes an update.
Getting in early means:
- First-mover positioning — Categories don't have multiple sponsors competing for the same slot yet
- Growing audience — As traffic increases week over week, your sponsorship reaches more people within the same fixed monthly rate. Early sponsors benefit from every new reader we add
- Lower CPM effectively — Locking in today's rate means your cost per impression drops as we grow
- Shape the program — Early sponsors get direct input on what we build next — reporting features, placement options, newsletter formats. We build what helps you measure impact
Who This Is For
Sponsorship makes sense if you fit one of these profiles:
- NetSuite consultancies and implementation partners — Reach admins and decision-makers actively researching the modules you specialize in
- SuiteApp vendors — Get in front of developers and administrators already searching for solutions in your category
- Integration and middleware providers — Target readers researching SuiteTalk, REST APIs, and related topics
- Training and certification programs — Appear alongside the documentation your prospective students are already studying
- NetSuite-adjacent tools — Reporting, data migration, backup, testing, DevOps — if it plugs into NetSuite, the audience is here
Every sponsor is manually reviewed. If it isn't relevant to the NetSuite ecosystem, it doesn't get in. That's what keeps the sponsorship slots valuable — readers trust what they see because it's always relevant.
What We Won't Do
A few things worth being explicit about:
- No paywalls — The content stays free for everyone, forever
- No data selling — We don't sell visitor data, email lists, or behavioral profiles. Ever
- No third-party ad networks — No Google Ads, no programmatic exchanges, no retargeting pixels. Sponsorship is direct between you and us
- No pop-ups, interstitials, or auto-play — One clean card per page. That's the entire ad experience
- No tracking beyond what you'd expect — We use privacy-first analytics. Visitor identifiers are hashed. We measure what sponsors need to see and nothing more
- No editorial influence — Sponsors don't get to shape articles, suppress topics, or influence coverage. The content is what Oracle publishes — our job is to report it accurately
The Bigger Picture
Sponsorship exists so NetSuite Changelog can keep running without compromising what makes it useful. The revenue covers hosting, AI processing, email delivery, and the development time needed to keep the site current with every Oracle release.
It isn't a donation and it isn't charity. It's niche marketing with precision targeting — a direct connection between companies that serve the NetSuite ecosystem and the professionals who work in it every day. Both sides benefit, and the community gets a resource that stays free and open.
If your company works in the NetSuite space, take a look at the pricing calculator. You can see real traffic data per category, preview your ad next to a live article, and calculate a budget that fits — starting at $50.
If sponsorship isn't the right fit today, sharing this post with someone who might be interested helps more than you'd think. Every sponsor we onboard keeps the lights on for another month of free content that the whole community relies on.
Thanks for reading. And thanks for being part of the NetSuite community.
