NetSuite Sandbox Refresh: Availability, Status and Data

With an active sandbox license, Oracle says you can request a refresh when needed. Availability is not permission for every user to administer a sandbox, nor does it make every account eligible as a source.

Check availability and source restrictions

The Refresh Summary section shows refresh status and an estimated duration. Treat the estimate as approximate. The Copy Data From selector is available for Premium, Enterprise and Ultimate service tiers; Standard uses the associated production account.

Oracle excludes the target sandbox itself, unrelated sandboxes, expired licenses and inactive sandboxes as copy sources.

Preserve work before activation

Requesting a refresh and activating the prepared copy are separate steps. Activation replaces the old sandbox. Export or otherwise preserve sandbox changes made after the refresh request before activating the replacement.
