Text Enhance Usage Limits and Tracking in NetSuite

Text Enhance allows users to utilize a limited, free usage pool that resets monthly. This feature is essential for managing generative AI tasks effectively within NetSuite. Users can monitor their usage through the Text Enhance subtab on the AI Preferences page.

How to View Text Enhance Usage

To check the usage limit and current usage for your account, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup > Company > AI > AI Preferences.
2. Click on the Text Enhance subtab.
3. Locate the usage table, which displays the following key information:
   • Month: Indicates the usage month and year.
   • Usage Limit: Total number of Text Enhance uses available each month.
   • Used Quantity: Counts the successful uses of Text Enhance during the month.

Usage Count Examples

NetSuite counts actions that successfully utilize the generative AI service. Here are some scenarios to illustrate how the Used Quantity is recorded:

• A user selects Generate, edits the result, and then clicks Save. This counts as two uses.
• If a user selects Generate, sees a result, selects Make Shorter, but cancels without saving, both actions still count as uses.
• Actions such as clicking Undo or Redo are not counted.

The usage table will not display any data until Text Enhance has been utilized at least once successfully. If no usage occurs in a given month, that month will not appear in the table.

Unlimited Usage Option

For companies requiring unlimited usage, it is necessary to set up an Oracle Cloud account with the Oracle Generative AI service. This allows access to more extensive capabilities, ensuring that your organization's AI needs are met without restriction.
